• Guardian Sismalarm

THE FIRST IOT SYSTEM THAT CHECKS, ALERTS AND RESCUES YOU FROM YOUR HOME AND NEIGHBORS ACCIDENTS.

Guardian™ SismAlarm, is an innovative preventive alarm system based on the analysis of seismic waves. A network of IoT devices, easily installed in every home/office/school/hospital constantly connected, through the internet, to a central intelligence capable of collecting the danger signals and sending, in real time, the necessary alert.

P-WAVE AND S-WAVE

Two kinds of waves are propagated from the earthquake source: the primary wave (P-wave), faster and less damaging, and the secondary wave (S-wave), slower but also more destructive. The time interval between the primary wave and the secondary is variable according to the distance from the epicenter, on average, can take up to several seconds before the arrival of the secondary wave, which is sufficient to activate the safety procedure.

GUARDIAN SISMALARM NET

The Guardian SismAlarm Network is a network of devices connected to a central server via the Internet. The device constantly monitors (400 times per second) the seismic waves and if it recognizes the primary wave of the earthquake, it will communicates with the central server; in this case the server has the task of verifying whether other geographically neighboring devices have detected the same event.

THREAT OF EARTHQUAKE

44.459 is the number of earthquakes occurred in 2017 and localized by the National Seismic Network (RSN) of INGV. In 2017, in Italy , an average of 120 earthquakes per day occurred, 5 per hour. (https://ingvterremoti.wordpress.com/2018/01/22/speciale-2017-un-anno-di-terremoti/).  There is also high numbers of earthquakes in the world: millions of earthquakes occur every year in the world according to the National Earthquake Information Center of the US Geological Survey. Many of these go unnoticed because they hit isolated areas or have a very low magnitude; among the most significant ones, IN 2017, there were recorded 1559 earthquakes with Magnitude> 5.0.

DOMESTIC ACCIDENTS

Every year in the world 2.9 million domestic accidents, which cause about 1 million victims. Guardian Sismalarm is also the first home-based IoT device focused on security: it can connect to satellite sensors or incorporate sensors dedicated to fire alarms, early floating alarms, GAS surveys, CO2 surveys, CO surveys, LPG readings … that’s why we call Guardian Multitask a IoT Social system: can check your home accidents and / or those of your neighbors and warn all those involved in case of danger

INTERNET OF THINGS

Internet of Things (IoT) is a neologism referring to extension of internet to the world of objects and concrete places, it represents a new virtual world of technology, of information and communication. It is a global and dynamic network infrastructure where each object can communicate own data and enter aggregate information.

Currently the features of connected objects are essentially two:

  • Monitoring: the object is like a sensor that can produce information about itself or about environment;
  • Control: the possibility of drive objects remotely without any special technology, but through Internet.

This technology is growing up continuously, from 2003 to 2013 the number of devices is grown considerably. Many people believe that there will be an explosion: before the end of decade there will be 25 billion of connected devices.
